Kojak

6-year-old MN Bullmastiff

135 lbs.

Veterinarian: Dr. Dustin Babbler, DVM

HISTORY –

Kojak, a 6-year-old Bullmastiff, underwent a CCL repair at just 11 months old. About a year after surgery, he began showing signs of osteoarthritis. To manage his discomfort, Kojak was prescribed Carprofen twice daily. He also received two Librela injections; however, due to undesirable side effects, including urinary leakage, the treatment was discontinued.

Following a recommendation from Kojak’s chiropractor, his owners discovered Spryng®. After finding a qualified local veterinarian, Kojak received his first Spryng injection on December 13, 2024.

DIAGNOSIS —

  • Cranial Cruciate Ligament (CCL) Injury & Osteoarthritis

TREATMENT –

  • On December 13, 2024, Kojak received a Spryng® injection with OsteoCushion™ Technology in his affected leg.

OUTCOME –

  • Before receiving the Spryng® injection, Kojak exhibited noticeable lameness following his daily walks, struggled to climb stairs, and experienced constant shaking in his leg.

  • One month post-injection, Kojak showed remarkable improvement. He transitioned from a slow, limping walk to a more energetic trot. He can now easily jump onto the bed, something he hadn’t done comfortably in a long time. His owner observed a significant difference in his mobility and overall quality of life.

  • Kojak’s owner is delighted with the results and anticipates continued progress in the coming weeks.
